II.    July 6 - PLANNING SESSION:

            Fr. Gianni emphasized the following:

                    A.    Socio-Cultural awareness

                    B.    That the Parish is not a geographical entity

                    C.    Should be a Parish identity not self identity

                    D.    One Parish one family.  People as one Family Community

                    E.    The most important aspect is the “ Eucharist” –                                                                                     the center of Christian community.

                            -    Received the body of Christ and be the body of Christ we received

                            -    We are a gift and instrument of good news to serve our community

                            -    To be Christ like is to follow and do what he has done

                            -    Serving and how to serve is unity and compassion

                            -    Dimension of Compassion - walking to that person toward experience

                            -    Dream Community of Service

                            -    Parish Community is Unity to accept each other in positive way

                            -    Through the Eucharist we discover unity and diversity of experiences                                                  and enter into dimension of prayer:

  • To know how God works within us and to allow ourselves to discover the presence of God.
  • To see how we are in relation with others with respect
  • To know that friendship is to welcome each person with open heart with no conditions because of love. Money is not important but people are more important.
